    Class

I think a buck with class has a nice sports coat, smokes only the finest cigars and drinks whiskey neat. He also, will always open the door for the ladies before mounting up. Oh , and a buck with class will always pay the bill.

Kenton custom turrets for Vortex scope.

Hey all. I have a scope that I love. It's a Vortex viper hs. I have been looking into the kenton turrets that Vortex recommends. My scope does not have an exposed turret which makes dialing in the scope for longer shots really hard. The Kenton turret would allow me to shoot out to 700 yards...

Montana Winterkill anyone have any observations??

I am in the western part of the state and the snow is deep and not going anywhere. The white tails near my place are hanging in there, but look tired and hungry. I hunt Mule deer near Lewistown and a friend of mine says the weather has been brutally cold, but the deer don't seem to care unless...

The 2018 Mule Deer Picture Thread!

We just got back from Montana. Overall, it was another great hunt. Had a hard time locating nature bucks this year. The wind blew so hard the first few days and the deer were hunkered down. Then it rained....lol. the muck was something spectacular. We eventually got some good weather and found...

Mule deer venison question. Weird young buck with no fat.

Hi all, I was recently hunting in Montana with family and friends and one of the guys harvested a pretty small buck. It had a decent sized 4x4 rack with corkscrewed crooked antlers, maybe a 2 1/2 year old buck. He was small, and had almost zero fat on him. The buck was acting normal and was...

    Unexpected Blacktail buck.

Well....not a whole lot to say, I have been hunting blacktail hard for almost a month here is SW Oregon. Lots of other hunters, a ton of rain and Mud, and the deer are scarce. I have put well over a hundred miles on my boots and seen very few deer, and only a few legal bucks. Yesterday, I...

Limiting Oregon Westside deer and elk tags

I have been living in Oregon for 12 years now, I think it has some great hunting opporthnities, especially if a person wants to hold out for 12+ points. I live and work in the Rogue and Applegate units. I find it crazy that I can't get away from other hunters. During bow or rifle seasons, I...

    Bushnell Elite 10x42

I have a set of Bushnell Elite 10x42 Binos for sale. I have hardly ever used them. I got them about 5 years ago. I paid $450 for them. I like the glass a lot. I just always had other pairs that I used more. I want to upgrade to some Euro glass. Maybe Meopta or Swaro. Just trying to raise some...

    Kuiu vs. Eastmans Lawsuit

Just trying to get a handle on the lawsuit. Sounds like Kuiu is going to sue for fraudulent claims on circulation, and charges for advertising based on those numbers. I am sure there is more info, seems like these companies should all be allies and help promote hunting and sportsmanship. I was...

    Montana Non-res draw today.

I drew a Montana Big Game combo today. Who else is going? I will be out there for Archery Elk and then back for rutting mule deer. Two best weeks of the year. I was wondering if they will have surplus tags this year, I am excited to hear how many fellow hunters on the forum are headed to Big...

    2016 Shed Season

Here are a few pictures from last year. We mainly have elk and Blacktail in our area. We find lots of deadhead too. Cougars run rampant around here, so we find lots of bone piles, sometimes they have big antlers attached to them.

    Euro Plaque/ Euro photo thread

I really like the idea. That looks really nice and classy. I get tired of seeing the same old plaques. I have made a few out of old barn wood, unfortunately they were for my dad and I don't have any pictures. I use the skull hooker. It's nice because I can change deer in and out really easily.

    Hunting. Camp Pranks

For the past 20 years hunting camp has been a great place to live without grudges, pride, or taking yourself to seriously. Our camps always involve some great comradery. Nobody to impress, but a great place one up your fathers, sons, friends and everyone in between, and I don't mean by shooting...
