Low carb diet is working for sure. Down six or seven pounds, and energy is still good. Work and grappling practice are all I have been doing, but think I will lift tonight.
Good mornings huh? I thought they banned that lift lolThursday W/O Highlights:

x 2 on the Trekking poles....they make a big difference IMOPacked in the tent, pad and bag along with water etc to the spot. It's not all that far, maybe 1.5 miles but it's almost all vertical of the bad kind. Felt great! Trekking poles are definitely the way to go, especially on steep heavy descents

No doubt. He's a beast! Would make one heck of a pack mule.
Zerchers allow you to fully extend your hips and work your core out tremendously. IMO, the proper technique is much easier to learn and preform. They also simulate a dead lift but focuses on the core. They are also recommended for those with sore backs as all the weight is on your hips/quads.To me a zerker squat looks like a crappy front squat that would be much easier to cheat or hurt yourself. Am I missing something? If you loaded to heavy it would be easy to lift with your arms and back instead of pressing with your legs.
I need to get back to dumbbell cleans. I felt like I got the heart rate up and a good muscle workout. I'd love to get some bumper plates and do some barbell cleans. Anyone else do any Olympic lifts?
