Marcus, just a thought. Ensure you are getting enough lean protein while exercising and healing. A trend is as we get older we don't get enough in our daily diet. .8 to .9 grams per pound of body weight is what I use to calculate. We have some other member here who are by far a better " nutritionalist" than me. They may be able to offer some more detailed info.

DB Cleans are great. I love using DB's for as much as I can as they stimulate a lot of secondary muscles.
When I was competing, I had a special set of DB bars machines by a friend. The nearling was great and I could load whatever I needed on them. Best I did was 175lb x 3 flat bench press. They were great for farmer walks also.

To me a zerker squat looks like a crappy front squat that would be much easier to cheat or hurt yourself. Am I missing something? If you loaded to heavy it would be easy to lift with your arms and back instead of pressing with your legs.

I need to get back to dumbbell cleans. I felt like I got the heart rate up and a good muscle workout. I'd love to get some bumper plates and do some barbell cleans. Anyone else do any Olympic lifts?

Tuesday: Jogged 5 miles @ 50:30 with a friend. We had to stop for 2-3 minutes due to his hammer-toe at 2.5 turn. The breather was nice as it was again 86 degrees.

Thanks for the info ill look into it i know protiens help and have add a bit more in my diet plan but ill have to look at my app and see where ive been hitting. Ive started making my own trail mix with nuts and dried fruits to help my snacking issue. Figured a small amount of that for snack helps curb the snacking feeling but also gives me some more protien in the diet to.

Got my adrenaline fix Monday night. My wife looked out the window and saw a brush fire at the neighbors.
My wife and I got it out before any major damage could be done. We got it stopped 6 inches from an abdoned outbuilding.
I called 911 at 10:00pm and the wildland firefighters showed up at 11:25pm. We do live outside of the fire district boundary.

I have never fought a fire in slips with no socks and shorts on before. We where going to bed when she spotted it. Luckily the neighbor has a heck of a well and had lots of hose already there.

One thing I would say, change the batteries in your flashlights you keep in your vehicles. Mine went dead about 15 minutes into the ordeal.

the one picture shows the hot spot in front of the barn and the fence that was on fire.
the other shot is taken from the edge of the fire, looking back at the barn. the creosote soaked logs definitely like to smoke. If we did not have such a wet summer, this could have been bad. The dude in the picture was a wildland firefighter who came back the next morning to check on things.

I know this is not work out related, but it is motivational!
So Saturday night my wife and I take her side by side to a certain mountain by us. WE can't make it all the way to the top, but about a mile from the top. We pack beer and head to the top. While drinking beer and looking around, we here a bull bugle, 4 different times. Walked back to the side by side at dark and had a little picnic dinner. Bugling bulls are just so primal sounding.

Sunday
Weigh in day up 1.5 pounds. But im ok with it cause i know im at the point were my body getting used to the new normal and im still going down even with some weeks having gains. Also this still keeps my under 280 for two consecutive weeks which means i think i finally broke through the 280 plateau.

Workout sunday mowed the yard and did another hour or so of yard work in the mid day heat.
