    Ammo

I have been redoing my shop some this winter. I sold some primers and powder I would never use at our local club's gun show in April. I have around 300 rounds of loaded 25-06, 150 of 30-06, 100 of .300 Wby and 400 of .220 Ackley Swift. I also have enough components to last me for quite a long...

    2021 Fishing

Most of the boats/captains get a commission from the taxi for the fisherman who get mounts.

    2021 Fishing

Nice! Caught a few of them, Marlin too. Used to spend lots of time in Cabo. 4 buddies and myself owned a 100 space rv park in Cabo San Lucas. We developed it (along with a Mexican partner) in 1982 and it was a Gold Mine. Used to fish a lot. That's where the Dorado came from.

    2021 Fishing

Painting is the key to a great mount. Sending pictures is really necessary as fish of the same species coloration varies a lot, depends on the water and location where it was caught. This 50# Dorado was mounted about 30 years ago. It is a fiberglass repro. Still looks great. This species has...

    2021 Fishing

This is a mount of my wife's Brown. I had it done by a taxi in Texas. Sent picture and dimensions, it is a fiberglass reproduction. I found them on the Internet. Most taxi's that specialize in fish, make casts of an original and then use it as a mould for repros. Unfortunatly most are along the...

    Caribou Antlers

I'll start by saying I've never hunted them. I have read a lot of stories about these hunts and have talked to several outfitters about doing a hunt. I remember them saying they saw the skull in half to fold the antlers so they fit easier in shipment.

    Monsoons in SW Colorado

Just looked at the weather and it was 39 last night....I knew it felt a little chilly this AM!

    Monsoons in SW Colorado

One of the reasons we are so intune to the monsoons is that we really depend on them for our late summer/early fall moisture. It has a big effect on the next years water supply. If we don't get much (like the last 2 years), the soil in the mountains really dries out and the next springs snow...

    Where is everyone?

Been a member for awhile and am a member of several forums that I am interested in (eg. aerospace, street rods, auto racing, etc). A couple of them are really great, some are just to keep up with current happenings in that field of interest. This forum and most of it's members are the most...

Preferred cartridge? Grip and grin pic added

There are a lot of different things that come into play as mentioned. About 10 years ago I found a bullet that really shot well in my .257 Wby mag. I shot an antelope with it and found that when it hit a bone, the bullet exploded and really made a mess. Never used that bullet again.

    Closest Kill

Doe Mule Deer..........10 yards with a .38 pistol. When I owned a pretty large apple orchard (265 trees) here in SW Colorado, the deer were driving me nuts eating apples and my trees. I got 5 depredation tags from Game & Fish and took my S & W Model 15 .38 cal with a red Dot sight and climbed...
