I am going to try to book a hunt for 2024 with them. Hope they have room.

I drew a rifle bull tag for 61 last year, but because I had back surgery in July, turned it in and got my points back. I have a 4th season cow tag in a unit right next to 61 this year that didn't cost me any points. 61 comes next year. Did you hunt with Garvey Bros?

If it's Navajo that is between Farmington NM & Durango, Co, be prepared for the monsoons which are going strong right now. raining again this morning and we have has over an inch of it the last 3 days. I live about 75 miles NW of Navajo.

I don't have any problem with peas, they are good especially with bacon bits and onions.....yum! Dad just wouldn't eat them.

74 is about 50 miles from me and the conditions are about the same as here. Lots of afternoon monsoon action, thunder, lightning & rain. The high country still has some snow above 10K feet and it has been a wet, moist summer. Lots of feed for the bears, so they are feeding mostly at night ...

This buck is huge and obviously older, probably getting past his prime. The cycle of life will probably catch up with him in the near future (if it already hasn't). The good thing is that he has spread his genes across a wide swath of the deer herd where he lives.

We got almost 3/4" this afternoon according to my weather station. Turned off my irrigation pump tonight. I water at night, so I sure don't need any more this evening!

If the Nature Conservancy and other groups like them, get their way, there would be NO grazing permits for cows and sheep on federal land.

Between Wyoming and Colorado, I can hunt deer or antelope almost every year. I'll keep Wyoming on my list until it get to the point where I have to wait too long to draw. At my age I can't afford to miss any seasons!
