    2021 success Thread!!

Not a record but pretty dang rare to see one over 300 dressed. To put it in perspective, 350 would be a dressed weight for a decent sized cow elk. The record is actually 410 pounds for a mule deer and even heavier for a whitetail - 439lbs.

    Your favorite hunting photo!

Way too many to just pic one... 1 represent 4 people so I'll do one for each. My oldest in this pic had a recently broken leg. We were hunting with NE69 when he took this buck. My youngest with his first deer. He was so happy... My wife with her first buck - also hunting with NE69 My...

    Your Best Bulls!!!

I agree! That top right bull would get shot on most LQ hunts as well. With a longbow is awesome. I always wanted to do it but never felt like I had the time to invest to get good enough.

    Colorado Survey

Crazy off the wall thought- what if Wyoming and Colorado worked together and made hunters choose to apply for only one or the other for each species. They would still easily sell all their tags but would reduce points required to draw for both states. I know it won't happen but it would help...

Texan bow hunter killed by Pennsylvanian muzzle loader

I understand your point but I do disagree in some situations. Orange can really help identify hunters in the background. I have had a few occasions where I didn't shoot, or asked others not to shoot, because someone wearing orange was in the distance behind the animal. At long distance, it's...

Investments - what has served you well?

I sure like my new trucks every few years lol. Not sure I meet his criteria though. The problem is, I can get 0% on new but pay quite a bit higher (or pay cash) for used. Doing the math, I trade every three years and have come out very close to even over the last 15 years.

Investments - what has served you well?

The market is tough right now but there are opportunities. We are finishing our most recent one now. We picked it up for 20K (it was rough but had a good foundation and bones), invested 45K into renovations through a contractor, so total cost is $65k. It will rent it for $750 and profit $600...

Investments - what has served you well?

I have a couple rentals and feel they are a great low risk investment if you manage them properly. My wife and I also have a retirement fund managed by a company that has done ok but not as good as the rentals imo.

To eat or not eat CDW positive tested deer

CWD has been around a very long time. Good chance most on here have unknowingly consumed the meat from a positive animal. I don't test my deer/elk and I would have zero concerns consuming meat from a known positive if I were hunting in a mandatory testing area.

YETI Cooler air conditioner for the tent

If you guys want to avoid the battery, Snap-Fan makes a completely solar powered 12" fan that would move a LOT more air than the one in the video. you simply plug it into a solar panel. I have done some work with their company but haven't worked with them in a little over a year. Solid...
