Wyoming Passes 90/10: The Worst Article You’ll Read This Year - by Guy Eastman

You really are full of it sometimes Buzz. The majority of hunters in Wyoming aren't on outdoor forums and they have no idea how non residents feel. The only feeling of "entitlement" the vast majority of us have is to get what we were offered. An ever increasing chance to draw the permits we...

Wyoming Passes 90/10: The Worst Article You’ll Read This Year - by Guy Eastman

That won't hold true if they get a guaranteed set aside of the remaining non-resident tags. Outfitters would then absolutely push for it which might be enough to make it happen quickly.

Wyoming Passes 90/10: The Worst Article You’ll Read This Year - by Guy Eastman

Problem is there are very few of those available (6 cow moose last year) and those that are have been going to high point holder for a while due to guys trying to exit. Area 38 cow moose took 15 to have a chance. Guessing after this it will take around 20 for the cow tag. Unfortunately there...

The 40 acre deer refuge 2022

Need to set up a catch cage for sheds. Here is a natural version - Here is one built with fencing - I used these on a large lease on the Platte River for years - they work

    Primos Trigger Stick

I have had mine full of sand water ice snow etc... Take them apart and clen them and they work like new. That YouTube video I referenced above really helped me. They aren't indestructible but I think a person can get several years of heavy use out of a set.

    Any gardeners on here?

I have summer gardened for years but now I am working with a couple of my neighbors to build a good sized greenhouse in the next year. Groceries are getting high enough that it's cost will be justified. By trade I am an airflow engineer that focuses on controlled environment ag. If any of you...

Wyoming Corner Hopping Turns Into Hunter Harassment?

So what is ambiguous in my original statement? "Surely knowing that they brought along a camera, or at minimum, a good phone to take video." The beginning of the thread questioned them but my post did not. You are just firing shots in any direction. As to my choice to use the term "likely"...

Wyoming Corner Hopping Turns Into Hunter Harassment?

I wasn't questioning their motives. I'm questioning your statements because you went out of your way to poke at me when in reality I was sticking up for the idea that they likely had good proof behind their harassment claims. Go read my original post in the context of the thread. I'll stand...

Wyoming Corner Hopping Turns Into Hunter Harassment?

Hiking a ladder out to a corner crossing with 2 signs, a chain, and a padlock is a strange way to look for a peaceful hunt. I'm hoping positive change comes from their case. I hope people can legally access the public parcels requiring corner crossing in the future without fear of harassment...

Wyoming Corner Hopping Turns Into Hunter Harassment?

I never claimed they were trouble makers in any way. I believe you are misunderstanding what I wrote. My point was they knew there was a potential to attract attention so they likely had a way to document what took place - hence why proof likely exists that they were harassed.

Wyoming Corner Hopping Turns Into Hunter Harassment?

I do believe corner crossing should be legal. That said, these 4 guys knew they were going to ruffle feathers crossing where they did and likely expected some of the harassments they received. Surely knowing that they brought along a camera, or at minimum, a good phone to take video.

    Wyoming Antelope 73 or 32

I would wait another couple months before deciding. Winter is far from done out there and no quotas have been released yet.

    New to Wyoming

Those little mountain squirrels are actually pretty good if you pressure cook them and then use the meat for a dish. Tons of work for a little meat but fun to hunt them. We used to use pellet guns.

Used to be quite a few rabbits between Laramie and Cheyenne. Haven't hunted up there in quite a few years but guessing they are still there.

    Wyoming NR Elk 2022

It appears likely to pass for the Big 5 but antelope, deer, and elk distributions are safe for another year or two.

    Wyoming NR Elk 2022

It's different for some areas. Many of them have archery from September 1st-30th and rifle from October 15th-30th. There are exceptions to this so it is best to review the regulations when they come out this spring.

    Wyoming NR Elk 2022

If no new applicants jump in, you would have better than 50% chance to draw area 100. That would be my vote. It's a very unique tag to have. I personally think 16 is a bit over valued simply due to the limits on available area to hunt. If you don't get it done during archery, it can get...
