Got my 2nd choice deer tag.. Overall 1 for 8 in Wyoming this year!

I actually got busy and forgot about the results until last night. I've got 6 apps in, surely I'll draw a tag or 2..right? Lol.

Oops, I did it again. Not as busy as last year though. I got a Kansas deer tag, a Montana deer tag and cow elk tag, and hope to draw Wyoming deer and pronghorn tags. Oh, and Indiana of course..

I've been fighting off the urge to pick up a JM 336 Marlin. I don't need one, I already have a couple Winchesters.. But I want one, haha. Our new house project has been a pretty good distraction though, both for time and funds.

Nothing for me. I sent the $$ back to them this afternoon for deer and pronghorn tags.. Maybe they'll keep it this time!

Double whammy this year with the late draw date and COVID. If I don't catch point creep this year, I don't think I ever will. So either I hunt LQ this year, or probably general next year.

Been super busy lately. The farmhouse we recently bought has pretty much turned into a restoration project, on top of work and now homeschooling two kids! I did manage to get out and hunt a couple days on the new land though and bagged my first tom.

$718.61 with a preference point. Not counting the point I bought last year. I won't complain though, when it gets to the point that I feel it's not worth the money, I won't apply.

I think a lot of the crowding is going to be specific to the unit and season. Look at tag #s for elk in archery/muzzleloader and 1st rifle (deer also for muzzleloader and archery), is the area OTC in archery season, etc.

I got a leftover muzzleloader tag last year in CO. Started out up high around 11-12k, but just wasn't seeing deer. Shot mine down in the junipers at around 7k. This year, the only early season deer I'll be hunting is Kansas, so even if I draw a mule deer stamp it certainly won't be "high...
