kind of fitting for easter sunday.

god has cruel ways of keeping you humble.

yesterday afternoon, i strap the snowshoes on the fat bike and 2 hours later i am where i want to be. i set up the e caller and proceed to call a wolf in. I got wolf fever so fucking bad i missed a 200 yard poke. I have not missed or had buck fever like that in years.

I keep reliving it in my mind and i just blew the shot, pure and simple. On the bright side, i called in a white wolf, with his winter coat.
Better luck next time Tim. I bet that was a pretty wolf. I've yet to lay eyes on one.

Sunday/weigh in day
Rest day and easter with the family

Last few weeks i havent been posting weigh in stuff cause ive been getting frustrated by the scale im up to 299 thats up 37 pounds from my low.

After some reflection time i need to figure my nutrition stuff out thats whats killing me over the last 9 months my graph for weights been going up and its all nutrition related. Eating late, not enough water, portions, and some foods ive allowed back in my eating have a to do with it.

I still have a lot of my good habit veggies, fruits, and still counting calories. I have to get back to some of those life style changes i had been doing for the last year and a half that ive let slip that helped me loose 98 pounds at my lowest.

Need to figure this out and get back on track

Knee felt great in the mountains putting out some bear baits over the weekend. Might try some jogging this week and probably get the mountain bike out again too

unforutnatley diet trumps exercise. There was a time in my life when exercise trumped diet, but not anymore.

I still have nightmares on that wolf.

Also why when i started my change over 2 years ago the first 3-4 months only focused on my nutrition. Its my down fall most of the time i can find ways to stay active its the eatting properly that i have the hard time staying the course

I think that is the challenge for most people over 30 years old. Seems silly but I have started using my wife;s Weight Watchers app to count points. It was a little tedious at first but it has really helped me. The most important lesson is the age old "everything is ok in moderation" but this taught me what my body's moderation meant. I can have a few beers on the weekend while still staying on track. I didn't believe that to be true before.

Yeah. I use my fitness pal to track my calories was recommended to me by my doctor when i started. I use it every day just haven't held my self as accountable as i should. I just hit 30 years old few weeks ago so I really need to start sticking to it.

To further strengthen this point, athletes do not waste away to nothing as they condition themselves. Your body adapts to what you throw at it. That's why we use muscle and even cardio confusion, to mix it up and assist the most important aspect of the equation, DIET.
You know what needs to be done and I have faith in you bro!

Yes, the toughest 1/2 in country is May 26th.
I've hit a plateau. So I'm changing my training style this week in hopes of breaking through a few barriers.
1st Goal: break 2 hrs. I did it last year, and I think I'm better now so hopefully weather cooperates
2nd Goal: break 1:55. This was my finish time last year. It about killed me! lol
Stretch Goal: 1:50. This is asking a lot on this course. Anywhere else yes, but it's a serious stretch.
I'm not built to run so... :p

I like the challenge and it gets me mountain ready!

Sweet good to have different variety of goals. My running times went down hill when i weight started going back up. Im running the race again this year that i hit my best 5k time of 26:19. Most of my other races last year inwas between 27-27:50. Got 2 races coming up in may that i need to get back to 3 runs a week to get ready but weather and time constraints have me onlying getting 2 a week last few weeks. My first race this year ill be happy if i get under 28 mins

I'm doing a unique workout routine consisting of working 7am- 5pm, going home and working on my new man cave until it's time to sleep... wake up and repeat. Losing 1-2 pounds a week lol.

I won the local Heath challenge... again. It's sad I gained the weight back over the winter but I'm happy that I lost it again. I went 3 months without my kitchen due to remodeling so it was very difficult to eat healthy through the winter.

Tuesday

After a warmup job, I ran 0.20 miles at a 6:45 min/mile pace with a slower 0.20 mile recovery in between each Six Times followed by a cooldown job. Total mileage was 6.2 miles.
