Well one of these times im not going to be able to say this but i got a new PR 5k time in my race today cant believe i was able to knock over a min off my time from last weeks race. Placed 3rd in my age group ( 8 seconds behind the 2nd place you passed me in the last half mile and i almost caught before the finish line) . Ran with a good buddy of mine who also got 3rd in his age group. All for a great cause funds went to a fund for families of fallen officiers in our area. My next race is may 20th cross country track.

My weigh in was also great. Weighed in at 262 putting me down 3 pounds and a total of 98 pounds since i started

Left shoulder is feeling better but I'm going to give it another 2 weeks (until after the race) to get back into the weights again.

One month after hitting my goal weight. I have gained 2 pounds (assuming muscle) and lost another notch on my belt. Working out with weights 3 days a week and doing cardio 3 days a week. Still trying to find a good calorie number and yet still get the protein I need. I'm at about 150 grams of protein per day and 3000 calories. I'm hungry all the time- can't eat enough.

I'm up to 45 push ups on first set and easily doing 100 in 5 minutes. I have maxed out all of my home weights so shopping for a solution for a new home gym. A family member is offering a free Bowflex. Anyone have experience on one?

Friday ,
recumbent bike 30 mins pikes peak

Also went clothes shopping with my wife for her mothers day gift and well out figured id try shorts on since mine are really loose. Down to a 38 waist now which is amazing to me since i started at a 46. Was very happy with that minus needing to spend money on clothes again lol

Saturday
Nice run but couldnt quite get my race pace from sunday

Yeah i need to find the time last few weeks ive been running at night and theres only so many routes i can run under street lights. My longer distance runs i need to do in with the sun out for safety reasons. But yeah i really need to get some longer runs in.

Yesterday's workout. Was a pretty good one, was shot for about 30 minutes afterwards.

Saturday: 13+ miles at about a 9 minute pace. This is the best I've felt at this distance. Starting to taper this week for the race on May 27th. I think I have a real shot at breaking the 2 hr mark in the 1/2Mar. Less than 10% usually make it under at this particular race. The 10%+ grades are a killer and they go on for miles.
