Tore my Bicep tendon on Monday! Complete rupture, headed for surgery in the next couple of days! Three surgeries in one year... this is getting depressing. Just when I was getting back in the swing of things... oh well, more cardio for this guy.
Sorry to hear that! Seriously hope you get better soon.

Powerfit class at the gym today. Sorry guys that I whine so much on these days but its just brutal and the gals in the class make me look so bad! The only energy I can muster right know are in the two fingers I type with. I am hoping that after I hit post quick reply I will be able to get up and soak in the hot tub. I know this class must have benefits but it makes me long for my Monday and Friday lift days even though they are an hour longer. I am sure the girls laugh at me when I am not looking.

Leg day in the morning! Will be followed by beating the tar out of the tractor tire!

Just ran the stairs at Red Rocks. That was a little rough after leg day yesterday including sled pulls. Arms tonight. Hunting season is a great motivator for fitness.

Got to say...the miles are getting easier..and faster! I haven't been doing anything crazy, but just staying consistent. Small changes in diet, a little quality time on the treadmill, and some goofy tai chi. PT working with my back and knee suggested it and its making a difference. Back and knee pain have been less than they have been in probably 10 years. I haven't weighed myself, but since August I have gone from a size 38 in pant to 32! I might not be a Cameron Hanes, but I sure the hell ain't a John Belushi :D

everything in moderation....(except beer and pretzels, I've been told they are calorie free)
Absolutely! Don't forget that beer also kills the weak brain cells according to Cliff Claven.

Easy day today at the gym. Had the trainer show me all I was doing wrong with my lifts. After he was done with me I realized that if only I would have been paying him on a regular basis I would now look like Adonis.
Tomorrow it will be back at the gym attempting to use what I learned today in what I was told was a REAL workout.

Did a little pre graveyard shift chest workout. Still can't seem to do more than 45 push-ups at one time, but I'm benching 185 now. I know it's not a ton but just reached a little personal goal so I'm a happy about that. Next up 225

Had a nice hike today. Didn't measure it but spent 2 hours stomping around. No sheds found and brutally cold but a good day scouting.

5 rounds of Dumbell deadlift, hammer curls, upright row, medicine ball squats, and jumping jacks. Pretty good 30 minute workout this morning.

Started the diet plan. Thinking of joining the gym my wife goes to but I really hate gyms. Figured diet for a month then start on the cardio. Hoping to look good on the beach in my one piece! Ha
