every now and then, you have to do something, to see where you are at.
I did a forest service road ride yesterday, my moving time was 5 hours 30 minutes, a solid hour slower than would be normal on this route, but 41 miles and 5200 vertical feet of climbing.
slowly but surely the ankle is coming back. it definately hurt yesterday for awhile. i was able to do a modified t25 this morning and i am going to try some singletrack on wednesday. progress is happening.

Rest day, apparently the increase in volume made a big difference as every sq inch of my body is very very sore today. Did some access work for archery season and made a 1/4 mile long hiking/running/mtn bike trail today tho. Limb pruners and a rake can make an amazing lil trail. Stealthy walking also.

Cardio treadmill today then full upper body work out.
Will do a test in the am and do my hill climb routine twice to see where I'm at and more importantly to see if I need to adjust anything for the last 25 days before the opener!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recumbent bike 60 mins 21.74 miles gaining a little each time I ride
Excellent work Marcus. You are almost back to our challenge distance with time limit.

On another note: Would love to see you get in 15-20 minutes of high tempo biking in the early AM upon rising. It will elevate your metabolism for the rest of the morning as well as be a good wakeup. I find working out for 30 minutes in the morning gets me up and moving faster than sitting around sipping coffee "trying to awake". Just my $0.02
BTW: I would not use this as 1/2 of your workout, but as an quick extra to start the day. Good luck my friend.

PEACOCK ALERT: Guy struts into gym at lunch with a shirt so tight I was worried the circulation to his elbows was cut off. Makes his way to a pull up bar and looks up at it angrily. I mean this guy was mad, maybe because his shirt wasn't tight enough? So anyways he jumps up and snatches it while his smartphone flies out of his shorts and hits the floor. Cranks out his pull-ups, drops to the floor, picks up his phone, puts it back. Struts in a little angry circle, jumps up to snatch the pull up bar again, and again his smartphone hits the floor. This happens 4 times total and it was magnificent, I kept waiting for his babydoll tshirt to tear in half to top it off.

Oh, and okay back to the topic of what we're doing...in my free tshirt and disposable earplugs I've hammered out 402 miles @ an 8-10mph pace this year at work on my lunch breaks.

Keep at it guys, good job everybody
Great work!

Pull-ups seem to be somewhat of a divider, curious as to how many he did haha.

Hit part two of the second mountain in the series. Back to intervals today trainer on the program increased the time of interval but decreased the reps. So it was 1.5mins hike, 1.5 mins high intensity, 1.5 mins medium intensity ( repeated for 4 Rounds with 1 min warmup and cool down)

I'm really likeing this program the video actually has you walking along the mountain trail with the trainer and he keeps switching up a little each workout so it keeps you guessing a bit.
