Very proud of myself! Got on the scale today, after not weighing myself for 2 weeks, and I didn't gain any weight over the Holidays! Tried to watch what I ate and did some light exercise and it worked! [emoji3]

Now that the holidays are over It's time to get back into the routine of working out 3 times a week. I notice that my jeans are a little snug after eating too much good food for the holidays.

This URI (upper respiratory infection) is kicking my butt on day 6 or 7. My sleep the last 2 nights have been bit better as far as restful. Several of the other nights were very restless. Man I need to kick this crap soon

fun little snowbike ride last night. I got a new fat bike and have not had the time to get out.
I only put 5lbs on during the holiday gorge sessions, glad the holidays are over.

Old man tip of the day.
Stop warming up like you did in high school football practice in the late 80s.
Watch some videos, modernize and educate yourself. Static or dynamic warm up which ever you like.
Lastly tailor the warm up to the activity.

I didn't do the above and really messed up my IT band. :)........and man it hurts

40 minutes on the elliptical to start the day. Working from home (damn internet makes it look like I'm sitting at my desk...dial my office phone and I can answer right from home).

Heading west for the last weekend of duck season. Quality time with my 77 year old Dad (who will undoubtedly out-call and out-shoot brother and me!).

2.75 mi woods/quad trail run this morning followed by 35 mins of upper-body and ab circuit training.

Slugz, last fall while training for a 10 mi Spartan Race I was doing long distances, 10-12 mi, had IT band issues and it took me 2 months of no running period to recover at age 34. You nailed it, really uncomfortable.
