Still think there isnt a Dead spot above the lungs?

This buck was shot in Wisconsin this past gun season. 2 weeks later Scott got a picture of the buck. And you could see right through him!! Amazing how deer can survive.

I find this pretty hard to believe... you sure it wasn't photo shopped? I have shot several deer in this exact spot and took out both lungs. Shot with a rifle, there should have been enough static shock to rupture both lungs even if it somehow missed hitting them... I don't want to call anyone a liar and maybe I'm wrong but it sure looks a bit unbelievable.

Could be real, see similar with neck shots gone wrong, BUT that deer is too healthy looking to have gone through the infection caused to create that kind of hole.

Not to mention the trail of coyotes chasing the scent. I may be wrong but the membrane holding the lungs in place would be long gone. Causing the lungs to drop?

I shot one like that about 5yrs ago that was shot high through the shoulder. He was laying in a drain and didn't even care that I was walking around him trying to assess the situation. Called the game warden to tell him I was going to be shooting him as a mercy killing. While seeing if there was any meat salvageable I found there was yellow puss under his hide all the way back to his hams and it was rank. Needless to say that deer was FUBAR. Coyotes wouldn't even touch it.
