I have quite the collection of shedded horns , and dont really do much with em maybe a bit of decorating at times other than that jus like to go threw em at times and keep adding to the collection. I understand i have a small fortune if i wanted to sell em, jus dont seem rite to me tho , i feel there worth more than dollar signs to me, others think im foolish. Whats your thoughts? do yal sell yours? feel the same way? or other, please share!!

I recently traded some sheds to a knife maker for a custom knife with antler scales. Should be getting the knife pretty soon. :)

I have a 50 year collection...mostly deer. I wouldn't sell any. The elk sheds I use for knife handles, pistol grips, bolo ties and scarf slides which I mostly give away.

I dont' have a ton but dont' see a problem selling some. Maybe hang on to the highlights. Helps pay for gas for more shed hunting/scouting.

I found 5 Blacktail sheds this year within 100 feet of each other. Hit the jackpot 3 three point with eye guards and two forks. Only one right side, four left sides. Weird.

Finally got everything fixed, took me about an hour of screwing around. These are actually mostly off stuff I've shot. I have a couple of boxes of sheds in my loft that I didn't get down. Problem with a lot of sheds is that if they arn't from the last season, most arn't worth squat. Too much moisture and rodents that like to gnaw on them. Use elk sheds for coat hangers in my garage and gun room.

I used to save all my shed antlers till they took over all available space. I like to save my best antlers till I find bigger ones.I got over saving and starting selling because I average about $1200 every spring . That money turned into a horse Trailer last season and a rifle and scope the year before. My buyer also respects them.

lol i was listening to a hunt/fish talk show a few months back and they got to talking bout horns vs antlers it was quite comical to hear some of the people get bent out of shape cuz others were saying horns. in my opinion reindeer have antlers everything else that drops em have horns. plus it flows better, "man look at the horns on that brute" i believe if i used the term antlers in deer camp i mite get mistaken for a city boy!!
Not to bust your chops, but horns don't shed. :)

I give mine to my lab. She gets a heck of a lot more enjoyment out of them than I do!
I do the same. I give all small shed and bucks I've killed or friends have killed to my dog. I think it helps her find them when out hunting. If I find big ones I keep them. I will even mount them if they are real big (euro).
