I have a few I want...

a .270win light/normal weight w/ 22" barrel probably., kind of a do all for deer and under and possibly the occasional elk.

300 wsm, light for magnum, w/24" barrel, mostly for big stuff or long range. maybe a do all.

375H&H, mostly just because... but maybe one day moose...brown bear, africa.

I've been tossing around buying a new rifle - I've always wanted a custom rifle, and will probably eventually order one from GA Precision. They're 20 minutes from my house, and when picking out a custom rig, that's important to me. I'd want it to be able to hunt anything that I might ever want to hunt, so would probably get it in 7mm or 300 win mag..

The real question though.... Do I get a lefty, or a righty?!?!

Left handed, left eye dominate, always shot right handed rifles, lol

The wife would be disappointed in me, if I were to purchase 2.
just keep in mind it's always better to ask forgiveness then permission.

To the OP.

My father-in-law bought a browning hells canyon long range this summer in 6.5 Creedmor. For the money and the accuracy this rifle provides I can not for the life of me figure out why someone would spend the money on a custom rifle. Its very accurate and has 0 recoil. I dont like the 6.5 though as I feel it is a bit light for western game (Personal opinion that wasnt asked for but I'm throwing it out there anyhow).

For the record it is a bit long and heavy.

Personally, I would opt for the speed rifle myself. My friend got on in 300 WSM and it is a really nice rifle. The recoil is there but it comes with a muzzle brake and it is very accurate with the correct shells. He ended up switching scopes because the one he had on there wouldn't hold 0.

The other thing to think about with these guns is the Browning integrated ring system. Its really nice... and thats saying something because I find the worse in everything....except for these rifles and rings...lol

I have though about trading off my A-bolt 300WSM for one of these speed rifles but I weighed them both, his and mine and it was only ounces lighter and I trust my rifle to shots out to 500 yards. I'll save my money. After dealing with Rifle season crowds in various states this year I think I will be archery hunting from here on out anyhow..ha!

Looked up the value in my Blue Book.......hold on to your hat...probably around 900.00 in the condition you describe. (50% more because of caliber)
Wonder what it will be worth in 50 years. Maybe, just maybe, I will live long enough to see lol.
