My IA buck. I shot him on 11/8/2020 at 7:57am. It was my first day and only hunted 1.5hrs. The shot was 16yds he died only 35yds from the stand within seconds. The second picture is the arrow exiting the off side.
On Day 12 (straight, all days sits) I connected with this guy at 14 yards. Not near the biggest buck I was after and not even in the top 5, but he was a 4 yr old and was wounded from an expandable (likely Rage)... see open wound in pic. I rattled him in and he came in making a scene, limping and all. After 12 long days of grinding I decided to take the chip shot heart shot.
This has been a very difficult year for us. Hoping that the lack of deer is due to them migrating to the massive acorn crops this year, but I fear that it has more to do with all the wolves we have been seeing this year.
