After having some idiot shoot a bird off the roost 100 yards away (well before daylight.....Man that pissed me off)
The wife and I relocated a few hundred yards and killed one at 7:00 AM let things calm down for a half hour and started calling again and I killed the other at 8:15 AM.
Admittedly, my wife made a great shot on hers...
Mine went airborne after the first shot at 30 yards and required a second shot at about 40 yards going up through the branches...
Still scratching my head on that one... but at least I got him got on the second shot.
Both are 2 year old birds with about 9" beards and 3/4" spurs. Not the big daddy's i'm used to but these will do since we have had an absolute horrible season up to this point.
