I use grades as the determining factor on whether or not they get to take time off from school to hunt... That extra motivation sure has reflected on report cards through the years! My oldest has been on the honor roll his entire time in school.

Spotted this guy with seven or eight does across the valley. Put the sneak on them and got to within 450 yards, but felt that was too far for me. So just kept sneaking and kept getting closer and closer. Thought I lost him and just kept working to where I last saw them.

Spotted one doe and then belly crawled to the top of the hill. Saw a four point buck, but he was not the shooter. He bedded down about halfway up the hill, and then the shooter appeared. He was 212 yards per the rangefinder.

One shot with a 7mag and he was rolling down the hill dead. That was the first shot ever at a deer with the 7mag. Pumped!!!

My wife took her first buck ever on Sunday. She had a shot at this same buck on Saturday morning but buck fever got the best of her and she missed. Luckily we stumbled into him while stalking another deer Sunday morning. He offered a 186 yard shot and she hit him perfectly- destroying both heart and lungs. She also did the entire field dress on the deer with a little instruction. All in all a great experience... she is already talking about going on another hunt. My wife and I send a big thanks to NE69 for the assistance on this one... Time to plan a good Wyoming hunt for you!Dusty's deer 4.jpgDusty's deer 2.jpg
