Just talked to the Game and Fish- I didn't draw because the guy I was applying with didn't have the preference points he told me he had. Very frustrating.
Ooof, like others said, that's a tough one. Doesn't sound like the other guy is a guy you'll want to hunt with in the future...

Drew Unit 36 for mule deer. Was second choice. First choice was unit 34 with 5 preference points. Any information on what to expect in unit 36 now that it was a limited draw this year.

No joy for me in Wyoming so it is now onto waiting for Arizona to finish up their draw.

Come on refund..

Have you removed your boot from his behind yet!
Met with him last night. He is a Wyoming rookie and I think he made an honest mistake after talking to him. He does have points for everything else we discussed last year- moose, elk, deer. He bought an antelope point several years ago but didn't realize that you lose those points if you skip 2+ years. Lesson learned...

Nothing for me either, i didn't draw my second choice either which is always an easy draw with leftovers but not this year. Guessing they must have cut some antelope tags back. Now the wait for Arizona for deer.

Type 1 in Wyoming is typically unit wide.

Type 2 is some sort of variation (dates, geography etc). As wy-tex said it is often a date difference.

Agreed UH and thanks for your response.
However, in this particular case, am I reading it correctly. On this particular example, the Type 2 tag is for private land only as the unit and dates are the same, correct.
WY is always throwing a curve ball at us. I'm just trying to keep up with them. lol
Thanks again to all who have responded and assisted in my education. :)
Good luck to all those lucky enough to have drawn!
