Agreed UH and thanks for your response.
However, in this particular case, am I reading it correctly. On this particular example, the Type 2 tag is for private land only as the unit and dates are the same, correct.
WY is always throwing a curve ball at us. I'm just trying to keep up with them. lol
Thanks again to all who have responded and assisted in my education. :)
Good luck to all those lucky enough to have drawn!
Bill
Type 2 is for specific areas in the unit, or just different date, not private land only.

Example unit 47 type 1 is 9/1 till 10/31, 47 type 2 is 10/5 till 10/31, valid anywhere in the unit.

..Yes you are reading it correctly in this circumstance. . There are type 2s in antelope that say only valid on private land...Which means, that tag is entirely dependent on landowner permission, whereas the type 1 is unit wide public or private

12 days and counting til archery antelope opens. First hunt will be on the 20th after Steinley Cup Brewfest in Saratoga, Wy. Beer, antelope hunting- not at the same time- and a free hot springs pool in town. Kicking off the season right.

Ok, found out there is a little blm, and any elk. Now a little excited, but never elk hunted. Would this be a bad unit to start? Or is there anyone who can tell me what it would be like??
