Anyone know of ultralight backpacks for hunting? I'm familiar with the backpacking packs...and some of those ultralight options are 20-30oz 65liter style packs... I've looked at some hunting packs and they seem to be... 6-8lbs+ for a 4500ci style pack etc... not sure many recreational...

sheep moose goat with the bow for me.... no elk/deer this year.... did you see they extended the deadline until Friday I think?? could've helped a lot of hunters out with point creep etc....but you know CO wants that $$$ more than proving a point about deadlines....

I know every state is different....but I've almost quit buying any of the power mega ball lottos... i play the regular lottery sometimes but also the little lotto....5 numbers.... the odds for 5/6 number lottos while terrible are WAY better than any of the mega/power lottos.... the lotto...

What do most guys do...? gut and drag to the beach? or...? half/quarter them and hike back? I would think dragging all the way to the beach could be a bit of an ordeal. ??

What's the first thing you do when you kill and elk...? Pop 3 advil! lol. My plan has always been the "gutless method" especially in the field.... without truck/horses etc... nearby.

This is a high hunt of interest for me.... what I've always seen, was an outfitted/unguided hunt....usually staying on a boat.... not sure what the price difference would be....??

I usually think those saying it don't understand it. I define it as "Much tougher Meat hunting" also harvesting an older male vs. a younger one... I don't think many using the term think about an old male dying of starvation, old age etc...or predator...
