If humans were scored in Boone and Crockett ?

I was think it might be foot size or measurement from head to toe. I would do well in belly measurement and skull.

Something more to ponder during application periods

I was figuring the min payment in that amount. I guess that part would not be extra cost. I forgot to tell everyone my major was not in math either. Also by now most have figured out not in spelling as well.

Something more to ponder during application periods

Looking at those who have to put tag cost on a 21% card for up to 5 months. The total cost would be about $250.00. Plus the added cost forced to use the card. You could be looking at adding up to $300.00 total cost to a elk tag for some. Of course I all ways pay my balance before the due...

    Can’t make this stuff up..

All I have to add from my knowledge of wild animals. Most will run from you, but there is a distance to close where they will fight. Let just say I know that distance on whitetail deer. No more sneaking up on them. If you can touch them you are to close.

    Grizzle bear question

If you were hunting any of these general elk units ( 84,85,86,87) how concerned would a person need to be about grizzle bears. Looking at entering for a elk hunt in 2022. I know my chances as a first time elk hunter are slim but I like the idea of being close to the parks. If I am correct...

    2020 Family WY Antelope Hunt

If my figures are correct you would save $1,584.00 on tag fees by not applying for special tags. That might get you a trespass fee in a easy draw unit.

    2020 Family WY Antelope Hunt

I agree with Hilltop on finding trespass fee easy to draw unit. If you enter for the special tag I don't think you get youth price tags (someone know for sure). Also from reading your post you will have up to 5 people in the field chasing antelope. It is hard enough with a couple people in...

How Young Is Too Young (To Hunt)

With around 25 years experience teaching Hunter's Education and over 7,500 certified students. I can with out a doubt say there is no exact age. I do find the statement "taking a life" troublesome. If that is what is taught. How could a child not have issues with hunting. Like another said...

    Idaho OTC

I always wonder about the theory of people buying tags such as antis or others with no intent on hunting. I can say they must make a lot more money than I do. If I buy a tag I have been planning for years. It might go unfilled, but it won't be from lack of effort.

    Antelope success thread

Congratulations on the successful hunt. That euro mount looks great. My son filled a tag a year ago today in 109. Did not get to make it out this year for a hunt. Thanks to everyone for the photos to hold me till fall 2020 for my return.

    Public Nebraska Sandhills Muley 2019

I would say from my experience getting caught braking wildlife laws would not be in the poachers favor in Wyoming. I was checked 5 times while out there. When the warden stopped by camp on opening day. He asked if I had any luck. I said yes. he asked if he could see the antelope. He then...

    Just can't fix stupid...

As a young man at the age of about 16 or 17. I was invited to go to deer camp down in South Arkansas. This was around 1982. I was excited and looking forward to a great trip. The invite came from a friend and was his fathers deer camp. Being a young guy that enjoyed a few beers. The first...

What no hunter wants to see

Just to make clear I do not hold anything against the two guys. I am happy for them to have success. I had explained to my son before we got there what to expect hunting public land. I have killed 3 nice bucks from that very spot. All 3 were mature bucks in the 130 class range. I just kinda...

What no hunter wants to see

After hunting out west I learned real quick. If I can't eat it or hang it on the wall I am not toting it.
