    Opening The Can Of Worms...Coronavirus...

I fear the economic impact more than the Virus. We are dang near shutting down this Country. Just the losses from all the sporting events will play a major role on many cities across this country. Anyone care to estimate what the average sports fan spends on travel, lodging, food, and other...

    Wyoming summer vacation

I took my family last year. We flew into Salt Lake and drove up to the West entrance. We stayed close to the West gate just out side of the park for a couple nights and then down to Alpine for a couple nights to see Grand Teton Park. We rafted the Snake river which was a blast. Unless you...

    6% non-resident draw tags

Well that is nice to know, but this is referring to New Mexico. Wyoming would have enough money to manage their game if it relied on resident license and tag revenue only.

You may be correct I do not have access to their finical report. I do find it odd that licenses, tags, permits, and PP only total 47% of the total. Money received from the Federal side is allocated on total number of license sales. it might warrant a closer look at the total budget.

I agree. I have no problem paying more as a NR. Just think states with large amounts of federal land should not shut out NR hunters. My only problem with Wyoming is restriction of Wilderness areas.

I do not think that report includes Preference Points. If you look at the PP going into 2020 draw numbers it gives you the total number of persons at each point level. This allows you to know the total number of persons buying a point last year. Antelope 90,300 @ $31 Deer...

    6% non-resident draw tags

I think a state that has Federal lands is in the wrong if not allowing enough NR hunting. They should allocate tags more on a percentage of Federal lands. More than a third of New Mexico is federal land. Do I think 1/3 of the tags should go to NR No, but I do think about a 1/3 of the...

    6% non-resident draw tags

As a resident I would be hoping the private owners are in tune with game management instead of quick profit. Unlimited tags have never been a good thing for land not properly managed. One bad egg can run things for miles around.

    Million acre land buy

Well looking at the map not sure it would open up a lot on the east side of the state if on I-80 area. Might even end up with a lot land locked.

    Million acre land buy

They aren't making any more. I could not afford it at $ .10 per acre. If in the right places it could open up no telling how much access to millions more.

    6% non-resident draw tags

I notice that NM states they allow 6% non-resident draw tags. I think this is a little deceiving the way they split up the units with up to 3 seasons. If there are 5 or less tags you have no chance to draw a tag. It is apparent many do not understand this with the number of 1st choice in...

Can anyone tell me the total preference points dollar amount that Wyoming collected last year? Looks to me to be around $19,900,000.00. Is this any where close?

    Antelope ?

Do the antelope migrate much in the NE or SE part of the state in New Mexico? Was wondering cause I might be able to come out and scout in the middle of March or early June. I doubt I would know if I was able to draw a tag in March so most likely try for June.

    Shoot or Pass?

The fact that I have never killed a mule deer would come into play on that buck. I have only hunted them once and passed on a couple that were close to that but were not 5x5's. One a 2X3 had great mass and tine length but no eye guards. My goal is to kill one a lot larger than any whitetail I...

I don't follow what you are saying. Are referencing point sales or the $124.00 I spent ($31 antelope, $41 deer, $52 elk).

    State lands

Looking at the regulations I am not clear on camping on State lands in New Mexico. I see where it states you can scout up to 18 days prior and can drive on established roads. I did see something about designated areas, but wonder about remote areas.

Is Wyoming getting close to $20,000,000. in point sale a year?

    Wy SF0074

I am not sure Wyoming could afford to reduce non-resident licenses to 10%. If they do they will see a huge loss in revenue. They will also see a complete loss of point sales. I spent $124.00 for points this year as I am sure thousands of non-residents did. That is a lot of free money for the...

Results published for the big game draw?

Good that should allow time to enter Wyoming draw. I have a few points there. Hope to be chasing antelope somewhere in 2020.

Where U going to hunt this year???

I am in the draw for New Mexico Antelope. $357.00 if I don't draw $87.00 just to enter. I am hoping results will be out in time to enter Wyoming antelope and deer if not drawn. Who know but hope to be chasing antelope somewhere in 2020.
