    2022 Fishing thread

Sounds like a great trip. I can fish all year here in Arkansas to catch just a few walleye. That part of Canada offers some fantastic fishing. When all this boarder mess clears up I plan to go. My main problem is I still do not have a passport. Only two reasons to get one Africa and Canada...

    Antler rings

You need to use resin or the very end of the antler where there is not the porous material. They call it stabilizing I think. It is what they do for knife handle made out of bone or antler.

    Fishing Fulton Texas

I would get a mr bubble bucket and buy live shrimp. Fish them under a cork or on a Carolina rig. I would for sure try either of the inlets to the Rockport beach park. I am not sure about access, but that would be a starting place for me.

    Heading For Africa

Great that is three of the ones I would like to shoot. I can't remember did you take your own rifle or renting one? Enjoy while it last and have a safe trip.

Dang that is a bummer. The cost of hotel, and gas has really increased. When you plan a trip and depend on a guide or others there is always a risk of disappointment. I don't see any way around it as you have to book way out in advance most times.

    WY 90/10 Deer/Elk/Antelope Question

That comes from a book often used to give to employees by companies just prior to giving them the screw.

    WY 90/10 Deer/Elk/Antelope Question

I guess I am just glad I got to do what little hunting out West I have. I am on an exit plan now. Plan to hunt elk once, antelope and deer one more time then I am out. I will buy no more points after that.

    WY 90/10 Deer/Elk/Antelope Question

Yes this already limits a vast majority of hunting public land. And just why is a resident more capable than a non-resident to hunt wilderness? That was just a move to limit non-resident hunting.

    WY 90/10 Deer/Elk/Antelope Question

That looks like a great way to increase the odds of residents drawing a tag. The best part is they plan to still do it on the backs (pocket book) of the non-resident. Just increase non-resident price to off set the decrease in number of non-resident tags. Only problem I see is just how long...

    2022 Fishing thread

Got to go out and do a little night fishing under the lights. Caught plenty of shad in the nets so fishing was pretty good. Caught over 35 white bass, 4 crappie, and one 22' walleye. We left with the fish active.

    Kenai Peninsula Fishing

Enjoy I went last mid June. King salmon were not running much. Silvers were being caught on the Russian River. I chose to fish for Kings against the guides advice to fish for rainbow on the upper Kenai River. Reason I catch a lot of big trout here in Arkansas. We did ok on a charter out of...

Non resident Elk draw results for 2022

Non resident Elk draw results for 2022

Dang that is not good news for a guy just wanting to elk hunt once. My group sits this way current before this years time to buy points. Three hunters two with 2 points ans one (me) with 3 points. We may never draw a general tag. Also increased number of limited tags seems to decrease number...

You should really check into surveymonkey. I refuse to use there services due to their anti hunting platform.

Yes from my experience deeper water is key. I assume you are in Florida. Might look for docks that have larger boats some of these will hold a few reds.
