Here a couple antler rings I made. This is my first attempt at making them. just used a drill and dremel tool. Fun project for gifts.

Nice. I tried to do scrimshaw many years ago and I tried some deer antler. It is really tough and hard. Gave up pretty quick. I also made some buttons from antler, They came out really nice. The problem is the center is marrow and really course and soft. Repeated washing the shirt they were on, eventually ruined them. The center started dissolving.

Love homemade stuff. I think that is why I like reloading so much.

I measure my 2F black powder for my flintlock with a hole drilled in a spike antler I found when I was a kid. My buddy told me there was not was to accurately measure my powder like that....I laughed at him and said it is close enough for me. Besides, I use pillow patches and round balls cast by my granddad 50 years ago. Killed my biggest flintlock buck that year...It did take me a few shots though...No fault of my homemade stuff though, I have to assume all the blame for that entourage lol
