    Youngest son

An update. He rode New Years Eve in Arlington Texas. Something called the Arlington All Star Bronc Ride. He made the rides and came home with the championship buckle. I asked how many contestants there were and he said around 40. He also said the guys he is training with made him train on...

    Reducing scam posting

Scott, Most people don't realize how difficult these spammers can be. I was a moderator for years on Arkansashunting .net a very large site. I left the site when the local owners sold the site to a group out of Texas. The new owners were only concerned with post count, stream adds, and not...

    Youngest son

Well he is 19 and in electrical apprentice job living on his own. About all I can do at this point is suggest a safer hobby. I had a short rodeo run as a bull rider. Payed entry fee, barrowed some gear, swung around a few times, hit my head on the ground, and saw stars. I learned real fast I...

    Palo duro canyon aoudad

Congratulations on the tag. I do not have any experience with Palo Duro Canyon. Be ready for some rough country from my experience with Barberry sheep. They tend to go to the steepest areas if much pressure. If they do not get a lot of hunting you may can catch some on the flats. Good glass...

    Bob cat

Seems like it has to be real cold for them to be moving in the day. I have killed several over the years and it has always been on a very cold morning. Had a guy I know in Ozark, AR kill one a few years back. He is about 6'2". Holding the cat up by the back paws even with his head it's front...

    Proposed Non-Resident General Elk Regions

That could allow a few extra tags for NR elk hunters. The only problem I see with regions is knowing which area to apply for. Now you can draw a general tag and then research where to hunt. Of course you should do your research prior to the draw anyway. It might end up like deer regions where...

    Bob cat

I shot this deer hunting. There two of them. I shot the first one and had a round jam on my bolt action. First time this has happened in over 30 years. I think I had the round to far back in the mag. Anyway not much on size, but one less bird eater.

    Wife’s Early Muzz Buck

Great when a target buck shows up. I tend to get several great bucks and never seem to catch them during daylight hunting. Congratulations!

    Daughters first big game animal

Those kidos can have hectic lives glad you made the time. The use of the same rifle as her grandmother is a special connection. My son killed his first bow kill with the same bow I killed my first with 25 years + prior. That was very special for me.
