How do you lose even one that can't be accounted for?

Trophy hunting to me simply means selective harvest. The hunter is seeking something beyond the average animal. What that something is can be defined differently by each hunter.

I know some guys that prefer to hang their quarters, with hide on, by the leg. I does keep the main muscle groups a bit cleaner and prevents some drying out. I personally don't like to pack any bone other than the skull, but to each their own.

Lot of turkeys here but not much public land to hunt them on. If a guy does his research it can be a great hunt though.

1- Draw odds/points required for multiple years 2- Animal population 3- % accessible public 4- # of other hunters/permits to determine pressure I could care less what is published for success rates because most of that is inaccurate for western states imo.

There is always OTC Nebraska as well if you want another state to hunt.

I actually like it- I have called quite a few toms in during 20+MPH winds. I find they come in much easier IF you can get close enough for them to hear.

Montana will remain a great destination. Most of these crazy bills being introduced will fail miserably. Who knows what the future will bring but the reality is right now much of the west is non-resident friendly with their rules. Should take advantage while we can.

The two shotgun method is common in my area when jump shooting geese. I am not aware of any laws against the practice and have also seen several people checked with no issues.

It may depend on the warden but, by the letter of the law, it is illegal. He is actively, and knowingly hunting in the wrong area.
