    .300 PRC Video Overview

I love it too. In all the years I have been reloading (probably around 65), it was the easiest rifle to work up a load for of all the rifles I have owned. Granted I am a lot smarter about reloading than I was when I was younger, but hit on the load on the 3rd try. Saved lots of powder, primers &...

    At 56 it is tough

I'll be 81 this fall, so you have a ways to go. I went on a diet 18 months ago. I have lost #60, still looking to lose a little more. It is difficult to lose much more than a pound or 2 a week. I cut down on the carbs and a lot smaller portions. I eat lots of fresh fruit, melon and green salads...

    .300 PRC Video Overview

I have been shooting a .300 Wby for years and it does the job for me. My reloads are deadly. My son has a ,300 RUM that we load for also. I have chronographed both of them and each has their area they do well. With 180 gr bullets, my Wby is better IMO, but when you go to 200 grainers, the RUM...

    ? On Initial Evals of a Rifle/Build

Either are fine. I generally use Acraglass. I also use JB Weld when I want strength. If the wood is soft or has a defect, I use it. Make sure you are liberal in the use of the release compound.

    ? On Initial Evals of a Rifle/Build

I would definitely glass bed it. The .35 will probably shoot heavier bullets and have more recoil. The glass bedding will strengthen the stock and provide more stability.

    ? On Initial Evals of a Rifle/Build

Before you start shooting, tell me about the stock. You re-barreled the action. Is the new barrel the same outside diameter and contour as the original? Is the stock glass bedded? I would glass bed the action and float the barrel before you do any shooting. I am assuming that the action is...

    Wolf Reintroduction Sign Walden

We need to get another ballot initiative to stop any further releases and trap the ones already released. The last one just barely passed.

License Distribution Public Involvement – Process Update Proposal

I started watching it, but had to stop as I had other things to do. I am going to finish it.

License Distribution Public Involvement – Process Update Proposal

One thing that surprises me is that there was no mention of giving muzzle loader a separate season away from archery. A the publicity about the archer who was killed by a M/L hunter should have generated some comments or discussion. I quit muzzle loader hunting because of so many archery hunters...

    Moose

I have killed 2 moose in BC, a cow and a bull. Both were taken with a 30-06 with my 180 gr handloads. 1 shot on the cow and 2 on the bull. Like Jim said......bullet placement.

License Distribution Public Involvement – Process Update Proposal

There are some situations in units that will really be hurt by what I mentioned. I live in an area that is all private and had literally thousands of deer. P&W tries to manage the deer population by issuing lots of private land doe tags. I have up to 50 deer at my place every evening. I apply...

License Distribution Public Involvement – Process Update Proposal

I scanned this attachment and am going to read it in detail later today. There is a lot of BS included in the proposals. The problem mallardsx2 brought up is a REAL problem (who comes up with these ideas). One that really stuck in my mind and really effects the way I plan my hunts here in...

    Planning for 2023

My wife surprised me yesterday and said "We need to start planning for next year, I want to go back to Alaska". So we have been talking about a return trip. In 2019 we spent a month there and were enthralled with everything. This time we want to go to Kodiak , Denali and Ketchikan. Probably...
