Here's the bull that I shot in 2006. That outfitter hasn't posted any pics of bigger elk since then, so I guess that I was lucky. The year before he had clients shoot 3 bucks over 190" (he had the mounts that had just been returned by the taxi). The deer hunting has dropped way off since then.

Looking at the hunting reg. book, you will find that the antelope tags that are generally referred to as "buck" tags actually state, "any antelope". I don't know how many does are killed when someone can't find a buck, but I don't think that should even be an option when the population is so low.

As long as we are getting one group upset (MZ hunters), why not tic off a different group ( archery hunters). Whatever is done, even nothing, the man was guilty of a careless act, one that was preventable by following the basic rule of always being sure of your target.
