For sure. My neighbor is a Vet and she has 2 of them and every time I go over to her house, I see what you mean, especially at this time of year when they start shedding their winter coat.
I have been watching this guy (who is not a native, but white and married to a native) for a long time on Discovery channel. Ancient only applies to the rifles they use....LOL! I guess there is no limit to the number of caribou they can take for "subsistance". The only thing they really...
Spent the weekend thinking about my 2025 Elk, Deer & Antelope hunting here in Colorado. Pretty much made up my mind what tags I am applying for and where I want to hunt. No Wyoming this year....point for deer and antelope only.
How about you?
I got the Utah maps many years ago during a research trip for hunting chukkars. The Wyoming maps were for the same purpose for big game hunting. I really don't use them anymore and havn't for years. Better to give them away to someone who might use them, rather than throw them in the trash.
Cleaning out my desk and have a bunch of BLM maps of Wyoming & Utah that I don't use any more. I f anyone wants them, let me know and I'll mail them to you, just pay me back for the postage.
When I first saw the story I really didn't think about it in the way AK is trying to control the predators. I'll bet the natives also depend on subsistence hunting the the same animals the wolves and bears prey on.
I have 6 Leupolds, 5 of them are VXIII's (1 3x10, 3 4x14 and 1 6x20). All of them are at least 10 years old and I have never had any trouble with ANY of them. It scares me that Leupold has damaged their NO BS warranty & quality !
Got my new hunting booklet Friday and noticed a change in the requirements for a disabled veteran license. If you are rated 50% or greater disabled, you are now able to get a lifetime small game and fishing license combo for free, just apply with the proper documentation. The old disability...
We have our first snow here in SW Colorado since the first week of November. It has been snowing since about midnight and still coming down. Just got back in the house after brooming off out sat dish and there is about 6" on the ground. I will have to plow our access road sometime this morning...
I was born and raised in California and I remember when we basically had 2 deer hunting seasons....early & late. The early season started in August and was basically the coastal areas. The late season opened in the middle of September and ran until the end of October. In the 1960's Fish & Game...
No politics intended. He appears in lots of hunting shows and appears at lots of outdoor events. He has a following in the hunting community and this story has had little publicity.
After looking for it, I found several stories. Apparently the person who filed charges is a "conservation activist". Wouldn't be surprised if it was a setup for political purposes.
Just saw a newsflash about an Italian Official has filed charges against Donald Trump Jr and his hunting party for illegal bird hunting in Italy. No License and hunting in a protected, reserve area.
I am very lucky to get it. Ruger didn't make very many #1's in .300 Wby and I bought it used off the internet. It was in the factory box with all the Ruger info and was unfired. I paid #1200.00 for it about 5 years ago. It shoots less than moa out to 500 yards ,which is a far as I have shot it.
