I'm in for an early rifle deer tag that I could've drawn by the skin of my teeth last year. I'm hoping that the later season dates in 2nd/3rd/4th shift some demand away from the earlier hunts, or at least keeps the odds somewhat constant.

I'll probably throw in for doe tags, but as a supplement to a deer and/or elk tag. Tags are cut in my area also.

I put mine in about a week ago. Currently just points for everything except deer, trying for another early rifle hunt. I may still modify my elk application, haven't decided for sure yet.

Right now a DIY NR might as well not apply for a hunt code with a quota of less than 17 tags. If this goes through, that number would change to 10, opening up quite a few more opportunities. I don't know that our overall draw odds would be improved much, but it seems to me to be a win for both...

You'll have a good time. I did it entirely off the road system a couple years ago and saw several bears. Everyone says to be prepared for the rain, and I was, but the weather turned out beautiful and sunny for most of my trip. What are your plans with your hides?

You can put in whatever day you want the license to start. I bought mine when the portal first opened, but my license doesn't become valid until deadline day.
