Did a long run 6 miles was hsrd but did it first four miles i was at a sub 10 min pace and then i got slower as the distance went on

Friday
Took day off had early shift on saturday 5am. And was super sore from the medicine ball workout Wednesday and run Thursday. Took wife out on a dinner date instead.

Saturday
worked 10 hours came home and did yard work and mowing for 2 hours preping yard for putting swing set together today. And then ran 3.5 miles. My time is 30 sec off because i tripped inbetween my 1st and 2nd mile. Landed on my water bottle and got a nice battle scare from it now to. Felt good otherwise.

Great job on betting some distance on that run Marcus. Just keep mixing them up short/fast or long/slower.
You'll be da'man this fall!!

Cut and stacked another load of wood. That makes 1 for each of the past 3 days. I think I've got another 2-3 loads to cut and stack and I'll be done. This clearing ended up being more work than I wanted...

2 of our camps on the middle fork of the salmon. The middle fork is a 100 mile whitewater run thru the frank church river of no return wilderness area. The frank itself is 2.3 million acres.

I've been doing the 2.5 mile hikes with the 70lb pack every 2-3 days, temps have been over 100 each day. Been wearing my heaviest boots so when I go to my light boots and light pack it will seem easier. I did go with a lighter Eberlestock loaded with my hunting gear yesterday instead of the big pack. I took my 204 in the scabbard and shot a few rocks off my trekking poles after topping the biggest hill. Got some shooting practice in while winded.
