My biggest bull 353" broken (would be right at 370" if all there)..... 2006 1st season Colorado public land. The year of point banking and it cost me one preference point.

My biggest to date grossed 338". We jokingly called him Snufflupagus due to the brow point that goes down in front of his nose. I shot him as the weather broke after 3 days of the mountain being fogged in to where we couldn't see 50 yards. He was 7.5 miles from the trailhead according to my GPS. The sun finally broke through the clouds after the shot and lit up the snow and it was one of the prettiest sights I've seen. I told my buddy it looks like heaven, but you have to go through hell to get here. It was the end of rifle season and the good bulls were holed up in spots so nasty nobody wanted to bother them there. My buddy knew a guy with horses I hired to go back in with me the next day to haul him out so my buddy could keep hunting and not lose time packing my elk. It was the first time I'd been around packing an animal horseback and I had a great time then to and learned a lot.

Mine is a 343" bull out of the Utah Book Cliffs that was shot 4 days after 9/11 at 7:05 on the opening morning. I often wondered if I should of passed on him but I am glad that I didn't.

Man I am jealous. Never elk hunted but hoping do to so in the next few years. ND doesn't have squat for big game.

I'd be happy with a spike!

Here is my Nevada rifle bull from last year. He scored 342" as a 6x5 even with tips broken off on a couple of his points.

Have never killed any monsters yet, that said I have seen them, just about every year. But they either give me the sneak or are 2 miles away. I have done well as more of a meat hunter. Killed many a spike and raghorn, including a few mature bulls. This bull is about the same as another, but meant the most as my son and I were together and it was my longest shot ever at 539 yards.

All about the dream! Meat is always good, but dreams are fun and when realized lots of fun to tell the story.
