Sign up for a life membership....you never get billed again.Interesting. I didn't renew because of all the junk mail.
One turnoff for me was receiving renewal after renewal when I had just signed up. My membership was still good for 10+ months.
I may reconsider if I can eliminate or at least minimize the junk mail.
I'd rather pay the annual fee . it keeps em honest.Sign up for a life membership....you never get billed again.
I fail to see "How it keeps them honest". Actually an organization that offers "Life Membership" loses money on you unless they take the Life Membership monies and put them in a interest bearing long term investment.I'd rather pay the annual fee . it keeps em honest.
I agree CC. And as you said, it stops all the reminder to renew your membership.I fail to see "How it keeps them honest". Actually an organization that offers "Life Membership" loses money on you unless they take the Life Membership monies and put them in a interest bearing long term investment.
it keeps em honest because if they have to keep working for my money ,they will do what they are supposed to do or they won't get it.I fail to see "How it keeps them honest". The way things are going politically these days you can't afford not to be a member. The gun grabbers never give up, they're relentless.I'm a member when I can afford it.
That's a good point and one that seems to be coming up more and more. Support politicians/ organizations that are interested in public land transfer or support politicians/ organizations that are interested in gun control...Sadly, there are two major attacks against hunting right now; those against guns and those against public land.
Personally, I believe the attacks against public lands are more dangerous in the current landscape than the threats against guns (Republicans control both houses and the Presidency, plus gun control was unsuccessful even during Obama, Reid, Pelosi. The attack against public land is being pushed by the party in control and is literally in the Republican Platform).
Therefore, I will not support a group that donates and works to elect politicians that are openly trying to "transfer" public lands.
Even if gun control laws were passed, guns have legal protections and the ability to be repealed (see: Clinton Gun Ban) but once public land is gone... it's gone forever.
