SOP for fitness today, which included a 2-mile morning walk. Officially started LTD today. Be glad to get back to work at some point.

Handloaded 300 BLK today. What a boring round. A brick has a better BC (G7 .136). Prairie Dogs don't judge BCs though.

Back in the gym after taking some time off for my knee. It seems to be feeling pretty good doing squats but I haven't tried anything explosive like a clean

Alright im back on guys now that the chaos/rough week is over. Want to thank everyone for there prayers and support this past week.

Friday the wife and i decided to leave a day early for our camping trip since we knew 2 days we would be gone and wanted the boys to have some time with us. About hour drive from home

Saturday
Swiming in the big lake then left kids with inlaws to head home and get cleaned up and ready for the next two days

Sunday 1 hour drive and Grandfathers Visatation

Monday
his funeral where i read a few memories of him that was tough. Then had a 4 hour drive back to camp ground

Tuesday

Read some eastmans magazine and spent time in the lake Swiming and reflecting

Wednesday drive back home after packing up.

Obviously with all this going on there was eating out going on and funerals always bring baked goods. So my eating habits were jacked up and lack of exercise. I hit my 10k step goal all but 1 day though.

Weigh in today since i havent in a few weeks and i was up to 310 which means i gained back 50 of the 100 pounds i lost 2 years ago. Running has also declined in the last 2 months and i havent run in almost 2 weeks now with all the stuff going on with my grandfather.

Back home now and ready to get back on track. Wife and her friends made a cool menu board we have been used for a week before all the chaos. Got a 5k schedule for the 22nd of this month. Probably start of with some shorter run to get the body used to it again before going back to 3 mile runs.

READY TO BE BACK

Yesterday and today was SOP for fitness. Had formal PT today and rode the stationary bike for the first time. That felt great!

Next formal PT evaluation is on 06 AUG 18, and if all goes well, will start the process of requaling and going back to work.

Installed a Timney Trigger in my 6 CDMR Browning X-Bolt. Burned six calories doing that...

Ordered a Solo upright bike to go next to their treadmill and elliptical downstairs. It is going to be a key element in getting me back into the cockpit.

Safety first.. I paid the extra $100 bucks to have them take it downstairs...

I have two pilot buddies that have told me they have projects on hold at their homes, because it involves going downstairs, and they are boycotting stairs based on my adventure.

Ordinary, the mood is jovial, as your favorite flavor of deer head out of a secluded Honey Hole (HH1) in the panhandle of northern Idaho at first light. Young bucks are usually showing young does how long their velvet is. Does can be seen squatting to pee on hunting adds in flyers from Cabela's. The old bucks this morning were quiet, as they had two thoughts on their mind: 1) HogsFly just walked 3.5 miles, off the concrete, and on to dirt trails. 2) HogsFly got selected for a controlled hunt in the Panhandle and has the HH1 waypoint marked in his GPS...

This heat here in the mid-west is depressing- hard to force myself into hiking. I'm still lifting weights regularly but need more cardio. My fencing jobs have slowed down so I have to pick up the slack now and force my workouts. Only 2 months left until I'm on the mountain!
