Anyone ever have ankle/heel issues???
Just in the last few months both my ankles/heels have been just sore as heck by the end of the day. Tried different boots, insoles, the better the boot, and insole the better I feel at the end of the day, but there both still sore. We did around a 5 mile hike Saturday, I could barely stand afterwards, and that's not really that far. I have 4 different kinds of insoles, multiple kinds of boots, and shoes. I'm just starting to think I might need to go get them looked at.
I had a bad case of planter fasciitis that caused pain in my heels. Could barely walk around the house after work every day. I worked through it, did all the stretches I could find. I have to use superfeet insoles in my shoes and boots. Haven?t had a flare up in years. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I do have a pair of those insoles, and ironically my feet feel the best at the end of the day wearing them.
I never thought about planter fasciitis. Googled some of the stretching exercises, and I'll give it a shot for a week or two. Hopefully that's all it is.

Ok, wourkout this morning. Shoulder supersets as well as some lunges. I have been walking the new pup to burn a little bit of his energy as well as a decent warm up for me. He was kind of a bone head this morning, but it was still a good warm up.

If its really bad freeze a water bottle and roll it with your foot helps a ton if its really painful

My body is screaming at me this morning because I've pulled it back into the grind after life got in the way over the past year. I haven't stuck to any kind of routine for 12 months so... Strongman Training w/Track Intervals is how I'm starting.

Monday - Bench Press, Fat Bar Hang Cleans, Sled Pulls, Deadlifts, Shoulder Press
Tuesday - Track Intervals: 4-400's, 2-800's, 200m lunges w/daughter in pack, 10 min. stadium stairs w/daughter in pack, 3x30sec. planks
Wednesday - Tire flips, Back Squat, Farmer Walks, Front Squats
Thursday - Track Intervals: Same as above
Friday - Deadlift, Tire Flip, Sled Pulls, Yolk Carry, Atlas Stones

Next week is the same track workout with different variation of weight work.

I've been fighting a bit of something and working too much.
Got in a short ab workout tonight. Hoping to get back in the saddle tomorrow.

I used to train with some Worlds Strongest Man competitors. You may have heard of one; Phil Pfister, Dave Osland, or Jeremy Renecker.
I once entered a pro-am qualifier in Weirton, WV. I received an honorable mention on the website of W.S.M. and was featured on Fox Sports. It was pretty cool. I nearly won the opening event, coming in 3rd. I was the smallest guy there by 80lb. LOL
It's some serious training. Kudos to you Todd!

Thanks, I know of all those monsters! I've watched the sport since I was a kid, Whit Baskin was my hero! Good for you for throwing in with those beasts of humanity and almost winning an event. What an accomplishment!
