Then after the run did hill sprints

10 tenth mile sprints up hill did in about 30-35 secs. Then walked back to bottom between sprints.

Feeling it in the lega today

Ran First half of Toughest 1/2 Marathon in the Country last nite. I then cut the return loop to only get in 8 total miles @ avg pace 9:25. There was a total elevation gain of 1,384'. I didn't push too hard, but was still hoping for something <9:15. However I know I can hit that mark, but wanted to do it easier if that makes any sense. lol
I plan to run the race at the end of May. Getting under 2 hrs in this particular race is a true feat, hence the toughest half in the Country.
I've come in around the 2:15 mark the past 2 years. 3rd time is a charm right? At 5'9" @ 190 I'm built for speed... NOT. :)

Down to 219! First time since the 90s I am below 220 pounds. 9 pounds to go before I dive into hard strength training. My goal is to get down to a healthy 210 and then put 10 pounds of muscle mass on.

One of the worst times ive had in awhile. Conditions were a little rough to run in rain snow mix 25 mph winds. Legs seemed sluggish today.

I also had a bad run. 4.14 miles in 43 minutes. I felt sluggish. I feel like the days when you feel the crappiest are the days that help the most because you still have to push through feeling bad to finish the run

good for you. Do you start craving salt as you do more endurance exercises? It seems for me, I don't crave the olives or pickles until mtn bike season rolls along, and then I eat them right up. Than the craving stops as my endurance activities fade away. anyone else crave salt at times from exercise?

My biggest thing after a hard run is the need for something sweet to pick me back up when crashing hard. lol
It has happened 2-3 times this year by pushing beyond my comfort level, but I feel it pays off in the long run.

I didn't get long workouts in this weekend, but a few short ones. It's Making a difference.

Unfortunately....I am going to have to buy some more weights. My legs have maxed out the weight and reps so I need to up the weight to keep getting stronger.
