A good rum Marcus, and I have to hand it to you for sticking with it. I hope that you reward yourself once in a while for all your hard work, (just don't get carried away as you can out eat any workout.)

I do i have a tub of low sugar frozen yogurt in the freezer. And some low calorie popsicles and of course the wife and kids have some candy in the house so there are things i can have for rewards. My reward getting back from that run was a water bottle i was definitely tell i had lost a lot of water on that run. Might be time to invest in a small bottle for runs

I'm down to 216 this morning. Total 55 pounds lost since January 31st. 6 pounds from my goal! My average for the last month has been 5.3 miles per day and average calorie intake is at 1325 per day. I plan to slowly start to shift my plan into muscle gain and increasing calories slightly. If anyone has advice on this, I'm all ears. I know my body will want to reverse the process if I'm not careful.

Nice work, that is a LLOOOOTTTT of weitght in a short time!

I just got an article in the Men's Health newsletter that talked about a guy who dropped a bunch of weight, in about the same time frame. It went through the challenges he faced after he met his goal, i.e. the maintenance part. That is honestly where I struggle too. Will see if I can dig up the link. Was a good ride to help avoid the YoYo, I picked up a few things I need to implement.

Marcus; I can't believe that you don't carry water with you on your longer runs. Anything over 5-6 miles, and you can get into a deficit situation (especially in hot weather). A small tight fanny pack with bottle loops fills the bill, but some guys prefer the small camoback style. Keep it up big man.

I run basically downtown so there are stores i can stop at if absolutely needed and drinking fountains at several parts of the trail. So didn't completely worry about it. But id have to stop my run. Why id like to get a small clip water bottle or belted bottle

I haven't ever carried a water bottle while running due to comfort- never could find a way to carry something without it bothering me. Can anyone post pics or describe comfortable ways to carry? ... #215 this morning.

Noticed a twinge shooting my bow a week ago and Felt it again tonight trying to do chest. Not a good sign! Like you BC, I took it easy and focused on some abs.

You definitely want to be careful especially with that much loss in that short amount of time. Would be quite a bit to type but feel free to PM me if you wish and maybe we can connect by phone to walk you through some tips.

Hilltop; I don't have photos, but after trying a few different ways to carry water, what I liked the best was a VERY SMALL fanny type pack that had a pocket for a water bottle on each side of the pouch. I carried my .380 in the pouch after a miscreant that I had arrested numerous times in the past tried to run me off the road that I was jogging on. No kidding! I'd gone toe to toe with this guy and always won, so I guess that he figured a pickup truck was a good equalizer.
Clip the pack tightly and it doesn't bounce around. Other that some emergency TP and a flip phone, that's all that fit in the pouch.

Another way is to use a disposable small plastic water bottle. Once open, squeeze the water to the rim and put lid on. This will keep water from moving around. It's light, cheap, reusable (as long as you don't destroy bottle) and it works as long as you don't mind holding something in your hand while running. It's very light and never been a problem for me.

I do carry my 9mm on my runs with no issue in a concealed holster. I also have my phone and blue tooth head phones and a dog leash while inside city limits. I really don't want a bottle in my hands as I occasionally need them free for the dog, the phone, adjusting clothing- whatever. I may give the fanny pack a try if I can find one that fits comfortably. Thanks for the ideas guys.

Took my mountain bike out for a spin on the usual loop behind the house. It's only a little over 7 miles but I broke avg mph record and it was only my second time out on a bike this year. Guess all the running is helping
