I recently added DB Snatches to my workout regimen. This has been good but it is always interesting to find out where you are weak when you add a new exercise.

I did the second hill this morning. Basially peddle to the hill and climb and than peddle back to the house. round trip is 1.8 miles with 687 feet of vertical. I than put 2 into my steel plate at 300 yards. it is a cross canyon shot, so you have to call wind alittle bit. the steel plate is the size of a piece of paper. Basically I figure the steel plate is the size of the vitals of most big game animals. I hear it smack and see the plate move. This morning the sweat was running down my eyes when I was shooting.

The tracking apps are neat. But I wonder how accurate they are. Sunday rides was 12.9 miles with 2200 vert feet of climbing. I did the same exact ride last night after work. the tracking apps showed the same exact ride at 12.6 miles and 2003 vert feet of climbing. I wonder if the barometric pressure has anything to do with it. Sundays ride was pissing rain most of the ride.

This Week I did a Pub Run on Tuesday with a new group. 5.8 miles I didn't map or time. Wednesday I was late to the Fun Run and ran one of my fastest 5k's ever. Tonight I'm planning to run some hills in the regional park.

One important part of my training motivation puzzle is here though....

a New Mexico Elk tag.
