Started the 5X5 today. Its a change from my typical strength training so I am anxious to see how the next month goes. I have a goal to hit 25 consecutive pull ups by end of the month, Im at 18 right now so its not going to be easy but I love the challenge.

My conditioning will stay the same; HIIT with some typical cardio and walking. The row machine has become my friend lately.

A set of 25 is a very good goal. What is your body weight if you don't mind me asking?
Good luck bro.
Im 178lbs at 5'10", body fat was 17% 6 months ago and probably not much, if any, lower than that. Summer time BBQ's and beer keep me healthy for winter!!!

I hit the lat pull downs to add muscle/resistance. I will probably start chaining a weight on the waist to help with my rep increase.

Nice work AT. 25 is a good goal. I've been there, but have not tried it in quite some time. I'm about 5'9" 185; BF avg 10-12%.
Training safely is the key. :)

3 rounds of much of the usual exercises last night. Depending on how sore I am this evening will dictate whether or not I tackle a run. Will probably shoot my bow instead...

rode last night, walked this morning.

Please send us some rain. typically we get 9 days a summer of 90 degrees. june is typically one of the wettest months of the year. we have had 14 days of 90 degrees so far this summer, 4 fires are burning in north Idaho right now. The cape horn fire about a half hour north of cda has gotten 6 homes and 2 outbuildings.

Been holding my breath for the NW states. Hope you get some rain and cooler temps. I saw were they posted at least one fire restriction in Montana already this week.

Had a good week; 4 days of weights, did some hills, walks and then with the cooler temps and clouds today, got the 3 amigos out for a pack. They each have 60 lbs loaded and we did about 3 miles on the dirt road with some small hills and trail work mixed in. Trimmed their feet and gave them some alfalfa hay for a treat after the workout. I owe it to them to make sure they are ready to go this fall.
Photo of my workout partner, we've been using the chains on bench and squats, it is good for muscle confusion as it is lighter at the bottom and heavier at the top of the lift.

After nine days on the road I made it back into the gym. Good thing my daughter wanted to go.

My Right shoulder is protesting. Hope this will go away before my Aug 15 Bear Hunt.

Got to pack the tent for an over night trip and Trail run in the Morning Sunday. Climbing back on the Running Wagon is proving to be tough.

Jumping off the running wagon, then back on is always tough! The hardest part is that in the back of your mind is the nagging sense that you know what you were running before, and that you need to be running that again ASAP!

Lot of experience with the chains as well as bands. Good stuff 7shot!

Monday night:
Leg day on weights, Leg Press, Squats, Step ups/Jump squat, Leg extensions / leg curls, Foam roller.
Finished off with a 2.77 mile recovery run. Run felt sloggy but was still in 10 min range.
