One thing I really like about the fit bit is that when I over eat it helps me be aware of my step count. Add 5 or six flights of stairs and a walk around the block with the dog and knock a few of the calories off.

Never can outrun a bad diet, but a little extra exercise always helps!

Yeah i wasnt going to exercise yesterday but did to try and burn off as much as possible. Only had 2400 calories yesterday and burned 600 so i mean i was close to my 1500 net goal. I know im going to have this once in awhile its all about how i recover the next day

Lets see, since last Entry, I:

Shot a 2 day broadhead tournament for 84 arrows total on Saturday and Sunday
Had my Fastest and Best trail run ever on Monday morning for 8.5 miles
Rode my horse I plan to take hunting 8.5 miles that afternoon with my 9 yo daughter,
Ran my Hill run Tuesday at a pretty good pace
Did 4 .61 mile loops in the time limited Fun run on Wednesday. Got some speed work though...

Going to start a kitchen remodel-tearout on the 13th so I may reduce workout frequency during that.

Sunday i took the day off of workouts and rested up. Also weigh in day. Gained 0.6 pounds to go back to a flat 70 pound loss. I had a few days where some bad eating got to me. A little frustrating but it has me refocusing this week to get back to keeping it in line. Im hoping its just from not eating right those few days and not the dreaded plateau.

Monday
Was my run. At week 8 of the nine week program. Circuit is jog 2.75 miles

The run felt really good and i got a good second wind about half way through the last 3/4 miles

Tuesday/tommorrow

Have a double header for the softball team im playing with so those to games will be my exercise

Awesome work Marcus. Shoes do make a big difference.
I've been tapering off my running for my 2nd ever race Saturday. Unfortunately, it is supposed to be very hot/humid. Race time temp to be 70. This does not bode well for a good time and new PR over last year. It's claimed to be the toughest half in the country. I'd have to agree. :)
How was the race you did?

Did some tree climbing and trimming this evening. Not a workout but plenty of sweat...

Marcus,

It was too hot and too humid for the race. I still did ok, but off my anticipated time. (2:15) However, considering the elements in which dozens could not finish the race, I did pretty good. Thx for asking. ;-)

Last night was Chest & Traps.
First workout after running the race and taking the week off to drive 14 hrs for a family vaca. I finished the race and 2 hrs later was driving. I dared not complain to my wife about any leg soreness. This is her vaca to guarantee mine in the West this fall. lol

Paddling, canoeing, and portaging all week with a bunch of 20 somethings. I am headed to San Diego tomorrow for a week long ocean fishing trip. Not a cruise exactly, but other than reeling in some big fish there will be more eating than exercise. Somehow I'll find a way to tough it out.

What is portaging?

I've been doing really well with my 5x5 workout since buying a power rack. The safety bars are nice to have when I'm lifting alone. It's great having the ability to do squats as well. I'm actually in a cut mode right now. As soon as I started lifting my weight and strength went up. Guess I was just a chubby stronger guy now. I'm down 7lbs since May 26th while continuing to hold my strength. Still at all time highs on all my lifts. Not sure what my maxes are but still able to do 5 sets of 5
