I got lucky last week and had some time to ride my bike. I got 67 miles and just over 10,000 vertical in last week. It would be awesome if I could do that every week.
Yes the 5k I signed up for is august 13. Its called the hard cider run. Its a course through an apple orchard and at the end you recieve a mug of hard cider and we get to keep the glass. Im not sure what my goal time is at this point but i think im going to push for 30 mins total but it will depend on what my times loom like when i get closer to the eventMarkus you are making awesome progress man. Just know there are going to be plateaus and then BAM! you break through in a big way when you least expect it.
Do you have a goal event and date for your 5k?
Time is irrelevant. You are going to set a PR (Personal Record) for the distance anyway. Just run by feel. It is easy to go out too fast when you get around a bunch of different speedy people.Yes the 5k I signed up for is august 13. Its called the hard cider run. True words, when I am in full cycle jogging mode there are days that 6 miles straight feels great. Two days later 2 straight is a challenge and my legs feel like blocks of cement. For your first race finishing would be my goal on the first one.Time is irrelevant. You are going to set a PR (Personal Record) for the distance anyway. Just run by feel. Very true im overall goal is to finish that is for sure but if i had to pick a time that would be my time framem of course subject to change depending on feel and how the rest of training goes. To prevent the speedy people influence i pick wave three which is the first run/ walk wave. So there will be all different paces going and walkers.Time is irrelevant. Sticking to the training program so i dont over do it though to fastTrue words, when I am in full cycle jogging mode there are days that 6 miles straight feels great.
