I've been trying to come up with a major project for my shop this winter, as the covid lockdown has pretty well eliminated most of my winter activities with friends. All my fix-it projects are done, and after a few days at the deer shack (with zero deer around anymore) I am looking at a long, long winter. Anyway, in regards to fitness issues: I've been debating setting up my full gym in the shop again, but doing so really limits my woodworking options. I have the basics in the house, but since we moved to the one bedroom cabin I had to store most of the weights. I would just consider going to the gym, but driving 22 miles each way doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I don't need motivation to work out, just thoughts on a direction to take.
B.C. I wish you lived nearby, as I would love to work out with you and be super buff again when I hit 70.
awe shucks! Thanks Ric. We will hopefully share a campfire one day.

I've met with four forum members during hunting trips out west, and JimP was a great host. Unfortunately, Jim is the lone survivor here as one is deceased, and the other two haven't posted on the forum for several years. If I ever get out on a solo hunt again I definitely plan to make arrangements to meet up with some of the CO and WY guys, especially Colorado Cowboy. I got within 100 miles of his place once, but it was on a summer family trip and I was not in charge of the travel agenda.
Jim; If you ever find an inside straight for a gnarley Africa warthog, I may consider a safari with you. Bonecollector; I would love to do an Alaska moose or a Canada mountain caribou hunt with you, but my wife said that you would have to pay for it. LOL

That second African trip is always on my mind.

As I have mentioned I still need that warthog, but I was thinking that just a warthog would be a waist of a trip so I figured a zebra for a rug would be neat too. That along with a few hundred extra dollars in my pocket just in case the PH says to shoot a animal because of it's size.

I figure that it could be done for less than $10K which would include everything.

Yep, have to wear a finger splint for like 12 weeks. If you take it off and let your fingertip drop you have to start the 12 weeks over. Get online and get a 'figureight' splint....much easier to live with than a traditional splint.
thank you for the info on the figure 8 splint!
