5.97 miles last night- I thought my Labrador was going to die on me about mile 4. My legs are ready for the mountain but my tennis elbow is still nagging me. Got a cortizone shot a week ago- it is improving but still painful. It makes shooting a bow challenging but I'm hoping adrenaline will help me at the time of the shot. I can't manage much more then 2-3 shots a day right now in practice.

Just food for thought. ....literally. As we get older.....our macros are even more important than ever. Arguably even more than caloric intake within reason.

I did my final check yesterday to test my cardio. 3 hill climbs @ 20 min each with 7 min of each 20 min subset at 15%. Heart rate is low so I'm ready to go.

For something differnt if you wanna check it out. The Mountain Ops workouts under the Conquer Fitness page are awesome. Really good prep for elk season.

BC was a blast, no shortage of vertical or super in shape people there.

I will say BC black diamond runs are fricken scary.

Monday
Busy busy day.

Did some house cleaning and laundry

Had a in home visit for my oldest son to meet is preschool teacher.
Also spent most of the day doing food preparation for my freezer.
Cleaned up a half bushel of green beans
Diced up several sticks of celery
Diced up a half bushel of green peppers
And washed about 7 pounds of grapes my boys love grapes.

Just need to portion out and vaccum seal my vegetables i did today.

This time of year i try and prep for winter when vegs and fruits arent as plentiful and are more expensive. Back at easter the local farm store did a huge sweet potatoe deal like 29 cents a pound or so. I grabed a bunch and prepared a large amount of mashed sweet potatoes and froze them. Then in june i got 3 flats of strawberries cleaned and froze and july was 15 pounds of blueberries. Both from local farms. I have one freezer dedicated to vegs, bread, fruit and a few miscellaneous items and a deep freezer for meat which i normally fill around november december when i get my discount at work. Definitely helps and saves money also

Oh and had my ride with the bike group tonight mug and hot but large turn out one long water break at the top of the hill about half way to get the group back bunched up

For some reason I can no longer upload screenshots of my workouts. Anyone else having issues or have a suggestion?
