You won't have to go very far from the road to get a cow in 38, when you start to plan send me a PM, I'll help you out.Happy to see I drew a cow moose area 38. Looking forward to planning the hunt and getting gear ready. Could be interesting considering I have never shot anything of size I couldn't carry or drag out.
Kentucky, I deer hunted that same area in 2011 if you want some pointers where we saw moose. You should be able to get a cow pretty close to a road.Happy to see I drew a cow moose area 38. What area?Hunting buddy and I both drew Moose tags in the same unit as nonresidents. Hoping to stick my Moose with a bow but if I don't all move into rifle season of course. This is a great time for me to have a Moose tag as I also will be retired the middle of June. Great when a plan comes together.
Congrats on the tag. We will want pictures for sure.Unit 22, this will be my third Moose hunt in the lower 48
Bull tag area 2...only nr tagWhat area?? Cow or antlered?
As a resident that should be good enough for a tag. I think there are typically around 60 resident tags. Congrats! My wife got number 46 for a bull.
I have a friend that drew a very low number. Drelk (here on Eastman's) told me that you can call the Jackson office (307)-733-2321, they will have the tag numbers. I just called and they said they are expecting an email from the biologist soon and that if you call this afternoon, they should have the numbers. Thanks! I think she can pretty much count on hunting. She is pretty excited.
That's tough luck man.22 bulls for non res, I'm number 25
