I cooked up some liver and onions from Hank Shaw's book a couple nights ago. I ended up dumping all the liver in the trash and just eating the caramelized onions and saut?ed kale.

The liver wasn't competing wretched but a very strange texture and odd taste just didn't sit well with me it was the first recipe from his book that didn't knock it out of the park.

Interesting. Not going to lie, never been a big fan of eating liver, heart, etc.

liver. YUCK!
the function of liver is to detox the body. only makes sense it ain't something to eat.

I donate liver and heart to the coyotes

Kale will make anything nasty! :(
Liver is not one of my favorites either. If it's cooked correctly with bacon and onions it's not bad, over cooked it has that nasty texture.

that's the general marinade I start with. sometimes I add a splash of worchestershire or a-1 sauce or experiment with other spices.. red pepper , sage , cumin. whatever you may like
