When President Ford stumbled coming off Airforce One, Chevy Chase made it a regular byline whenever he was on SNL. I don't expect to see those guys making any jokes at Joe's expense, even though there's plenty of material to work with.

Part of the problem, is people don’t think these checks are a form of socialism because the way it’s presented and lack of education.

To me the real problem is none of us are provided a choice. Whether I want it or not, it's just sent to my bank account. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm guessing a lot of people would have chosen not to apply for the handouts if they were given a choice.
we were provided a choice in november , though with voter fraud it is still not clear which choice was made ??????
I agree some wouldn't . most would. the very fact that democrats still exist and wield power proves this true.
short term thick wallet most always outweighs future bankruptsy.
but in my mind the REAL problem is government in the "charity " business.
charity was never supposed to be the purpose of government .
the #1 purpose in which government was created in the first place was to protect those who have from those who would take it!
government today has become the very thing it was created to protect from!
folks nowadays look to others (gov) to bail them out , instead of focusing on personal choices and responsibilities . when there is no accountability for bad choices it merely enables one to keep making them.
better in my mind to simply let individuals live or die of their own accord.
those who want to bail another out are most welcome to go to their own wallets and do so. and kudos to those who do!
