Wow, some wonderful animals and hunts posted! Congrats to you all!
I just returned from beautiful Wyoming where I shot this bull. He was over 4 miles in and we earned every ounce of him packing him out on our backs but it was so worth it! Can't wait for next season!

Good luck to all of you still hunting!

We got it done this morning with my second Jr hunter. He made a great shot on this old boy. Chris is the son of one of my best friends so I was super happy when he asked me to take him hunting.

I'm a big fat slacker! I thought I posted this one here. This is my first Jr hunter for last week. He is also the son of my hunting partner. Great times with the kids!

So I have to talk up my son Jacob Kamplin a little bit. His old man still can?t hike so he went on his first solo deer hunt. Took off Friday and drove through a snow storm to get to the spot at 11. Set up camp and had a nutritious dinner of hot dogs. Woke up at 5 to a collapsing tent heavy with snow. Set off hiking up a really steep hill I told him had nice deer if he was willing to put in the work. So after 7 1/2 hours, and finding fresh mountain lion tracks on his tracks in the snow he spotted and got into range of this really nice buck. 5x4 with 5 eye guards. One of the eye guards was almost 5? long! It has been killing me to see all the hunting going on while I?m stuck at home on the couch, but I am so proud of him and his first solo hunt!
