I just started to get out up high and there is more snow than there has been in quite a few years. Lots of bugs and water up high this year so antler growth should be great. Good to see the bucks start to return to the high country.

Feel free to add any pics you might get scouting this year and while I have not found a shooter - here are a few bucks I saw this week.

Man I miss the high country-those pics make me a little homesick. I can just smell those lodgepoles and firs. I am excited to get to explore some new things this year however. Thanks for sharin' these!

Here is one that is in the low country close to home. Took these pictures two days ago. Antlers look to be just a hair wider than his ears and tines appear to have considerable growth left to go. I'll try to get another picture of this guy later in the summer so we can see how his tines develop.

Was up high in Colorado a couple weeks ago and definitely more snow and water than I have seen in the recent past. Didn't see as many deer and elk as I would have liked but saw a few. Talked to the local game warden and he had seen a heard of bulls that had good growth.

Yes, it's looking green. These photos show good enough grass. I've been watching the rainfall totals and it's been good too. So far it's shaping up like a nice year.

Some good looking bucks in there!

The last time I went out I did not run into any big deer or well any deer at all but I did run into a good looking moose and a few elk.

Rain almost every night this week and it seems that every cow elk has at least one calf this year. Still looking for the one but having fun looking.

I was out 2 weekends ago scouting for deer and saw about 12 bucks. One of the 12 looked really promising, he has trash on his left side and I think he is one I hunted last year. I saw about 200 elk, probably 10 bulls but nothing to write home about. The range looks green and antler growth should be awesome this year.

No big deer to speak of for me this week but I did run into a few elk and one good bull.

Interesting how the older bulls coat is so pale in comparison to the younger bulls. Thank for posting... I can't wait for season to get here!
